Medical Care in Koura

Free Healthcare for the Koura Community

Balamand University, located in the northern district of El Kowra, Lebanon, is a private academic institution that is secular in its policies and approach to learning. The university welcomes faculty, students, and staff of all religions, nationalities, and ethnic backgrounds. The university's main campus is adjacent to Balamand Monastery, while its other two campuses are located in Sin el Fi and Achrafieh. The Balamand University clinic offers care to faculty, staff, and students. However, by partnering with DTCare, the university will expand its medical care services beyond campus grounds.

DTCare Lebanon and Balamand University are partnering to upgrade and expand the university's existing clinic to make healthcare accessible to the Koura community, particularly low-income families, senior citizens, and other vulnerable populations who may not have access to adequate healthcare due to financial constraints. What sets the Balamand University and DTCare Roumieh clinics apart is the availability of specialist care: the Balamand clinic boasts a range of specialist care providers, and the Roumieh clinic will focus on community health and primary health care.

University Clinic Today, Community Clinic Tomorrow: A Partnership that Goes Further

DTCare is partnering with Balamand University to expand the existing university clinic for increased traffic to provide essential care for the Koura community as well as faculty, staff, and students. DTCare will donate the medical equipment needed for the expansion by working with U.S.-based nonprofits and organizations. The clinic will also provide prospective healthcare professionals the opportunity to help the community and gain experience by assisting licensed medical professionals at the clinic.

Essential Healthcare Services for Koura

DTCare Lebanon and Balaman University’s joint venture will benefit the local community by offering top-of-the-line medical care, medicines and procedures, and health resources. The involvement of U.S.-based nonprofits will strengthen the clinic's capabilities to meet the medical and health needs of the local community through access to resources and supplies that may not be readily available in Lebanon. DTCare Lebanon and Balamand Clinic's collaboration will make quality healthcare accessible to the community while fostering collaboration with medical experts and charities with a long track record of working in the healthcare industry.
