DTCare Delivers Vital Aid to the Ukrainian Frontline

Delivering Medical Supplies, Food Kits, and Hygiene Essentials to Conflict-Affected Regions

DTCare provides essential aid to the critically affected Kherson region and its surrounding communities in Ukraine, including comprehensive humanitarian assistance to various local charity foundations and individuals based in highly volatile areas. Our efforts involve sending vital medical supplies directly to emergency medics and first responders and distributing blankets, hygiene wipes, locally-made food kits, tens of thousands of MREs, and other essentials to various frontline regions. DTCare relies on generous food aid grants to purchase essential food products locally and distribute them to families in need. DTCare works with Medicine of Ukraine in Kyiv to ensure that medical items reach field hospitals where they are critically needed. DTCare continues to play a crucial role in delivering life-saving aid and support to those most affected by the ongoing conflict.

DTCare Delivers Vital Relief Aid and Mental Health Support to War-Stricken Ukraine

Since the onset of the war in Ukraine in early 2022, DTCare has been actively and systematically involved in sending cargoes of emergency relief supplies, building distribution networks, and providing psychological support for Ukrainian veterans, veteran families, and civilians. DTCare partnered with multiple organizations in Ukraine and Poland that continue to enable our humanitarian response to aid Ukrainians. In the initial stage of DTCare's Ukrainian Crisis Relief Campaign, we joined forces with the ZHP (Polish Scouting and Guiding Association) to distribute essential supplies to reception and transit centers in Poland and across the Ukrainian-Polish border to our Ukrainian partners. In light of the scale of the crisis in Ukraine, DTCare established a permanent regional office. After the finalization of DTCare UA's registration in mid-2022, we launched a broader effort to provide critical support throughout the conflict and help Ukraine rebuild. With the help of our partners, donors, and volunteers, we sent 23 humanitarian shipments (18 air freight and 5 ocean freight shipments) to Ukraine and Poland in 2022 and 16 humanitarian shipments (6 air freight and 10 ocean freight shipments) to Ukraine in 2023. In total, DTCare has sent close to a million dollars worth of over 280,000 pounds of humanitarian supplies to assist Ukrainian citizens.

In response to the increasing need for psychological support in Ukraine, DTCare is expanding its initiatives. We offer art therapy sessions across five regions and provide free art therapy to vulnerable groups such as religious minorities, women, orphans, veterans, and abuse survivors. Our mobile therapy teams extend these services to isolated communities, and our play therapy program supports children in Mykolaiv. We also provide free professional development and clinical supervision for Ukrainian therapists in collaboration with international experts. DTCare's efforts intensify as the conflict continues, including aid distribution, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), hunger relief, veteran rehabilitation and psychological support through Hero's Compass, and animal aid. Explore our initiatives below.

DTCare's Ukrainian Crisis Relief Campaign swiftly launched within days of the conflict's onset, sending over 180,000 pounds of emergency aid to Ukrainian citizens in 2023, a significant increase from the previous year. Utilizing a vast network of partners, robust distribution channels, and proficient US shipping and logistical capabilities, DTCare has efficiently distributed essential supplies. DTCare remains committed to delivering critical assistance and support as the conflict continues.

DTCare, in collaboration with global logistics experts, excels in international freight forwarding and delivering critical aid to conflict and crisis zones. Our skilled team ensures the arrangement, storage, and transportation of goods according to international standards and Ukrainian customs laws. We procure and distribute essential supplies, including medical items, MREs, and hygiene products, adhering to DTCare's do-no-harm policy and the UN's aid delivery standards.

DTCare is expanding mental health programs in Ukraine by collaborating with international partners to provide MHPSS in five regions. We offer free art therapy for vulnerable groups and reach isolated communities with our mobile therapy teams. Additionally, we run a play therapy program in Mykolaiv and provide free professional development for Ukrainian therapists. Hero's Compass, an adventure-based counseling program, helps Ukrainian veterans with social reintegration and well-being.

The ongoing war in Ukraine has resulted in environmental and humanitarian crises, displacing over 3.7 million people and leaving thousands of pets abandoned, urgently needing aid. The Kakhovka Dam Disaster has worsened the situation, polluting water systems, displacing 42,000 individuals, and destroying farmland. DTCare collaborates with notable charities like Greater Good Charities and local Ukrainian animal shelters to provide essential support and food for abandoned pets and animals.
