Free Medical Care for Roumieh and Beyond
The economic crisis in Lebanon has led to the emigration of thousands of healthcare providers, putting immense pressure on an already-regressing healthcare system. Women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly bear the brunt of the declining healthcare system with inaccessible and unaffordable medical care.
DTCare's hangar and distribution center in Roumieh helps address the need for access to mobility aids and medical supplies, benefitting persons with disabilities and injuries, but to make healthcare and medicine accessible will require a healthcare facility and licensed medical personnel.
Community Health for Roumieh and Mount Lebanon
As the economic crisis weighs on the government and citizens of Lebanon, access to quality medical care continues to worsen, leaving vulnerable communities, particularly women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly, with no alternative option for medical assistance. Roumieh, a coastal town northeast of Lebanon's capital, Beirut, is a central location for a community clinic that will make primary health care accessible for Roumieh and Mount Lebanon residents. The DTCare clinic will offer free medical services and resources to households unable to afford care.
The Benefits of DTCare’s Clinic for Roumieh and Mount Lebanon Residents
A clinic offering free medical services in Roumieh will make care accessible to Mount Lebanon residents. Mount Lebanon is a mountain range that spans multiple towns and villages in Lebanon with limited access to healthcare providers and services. The clinic will serve as a central location for Mount Lebanon residents in surrounding areas to receive medical attention, particularly those who cannot afford to pay for healthcare, providing essential services to the local community and improving the overall health and well-being of the population. DTCare’s clinic will also serve as a hub for healthcare education, training, and awareness, providing information on topics such as disease prevention, healthy living, and available resources for further medical assistance. Through the provision of accessible and affordable healthcare services, DTCare will help bridge the gap between affordability, accessibility, and quality care in the region. DTCare will partner with a U.S.-based nonprofit organization specializing in medical aid and medicine provision to ensure our efforts of providing free care are sustainable and that DTCare receives medical supplies regularly.
